Canadian Society of

Pharmacology and Therapeutics

WELCOME MESSAGE

The Canadian Society of Pharmacology and Therapeutics would like to invite you, your trainees and your colleagues, to join us in Toronto from May 22-25 for our 2018 Annual Meeting. This year's meeting will be held at the Chelsea Hotel, Toronto, Ontario.

The 2018 Scientific Program has been a collaborative effort of the CSPT Scientific Program Committee with our partners for this year's meeting: the Canadian Society of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CSPS) and the Canadian Chapter of the Controlled Release Society (CC-CRS). This years program features three parallel tracks covering many important current issues in pharmacology including the Opioid Crisis, the Gut Microbiome, Stem Cells, Immune-Oncology, Drug Therapy in Children and more. The sessions will ensure attendees are well informed of new developments in these areas of interest.

CSPT continues to value educational opportunities for our members and the importance of the development of students and trainees. Please consider attending one of our two professional development opportunities: Pharmacogenomics and Precision Medicine: Introductory and Intermediate Course and 2018 Therapeutics Update. Registration for these courses is open to all members and non-members. Registrants may attend the symposium “Cannabinoids Through the Lens of Clinical Pharmacology” for no additional cost.

There will also be an Industry Day where trainees or other attendees will have an opportunity interact with key leaders from industry. Trainee oral and poster presentations are also a highlight of the program. To encourage trainee participation at the meeting, a limited number of travel bursaries will be available to help support trainee travel.
