Welcome to the Canadian Society of Pharmacology and Therapeutics’ Glossary of Pharmacology! Here you will find peer-reviewed definitions of commonly used terms in pharmacology that include clinical relevance, examples, illustrations, teaching tips, and more. The purpose of this expanded glossary is to provide our community (faculty, trainees and the public) with a reliable source of information that can be used for consultation but also as a teaching resource. 

Terms are organized below by topic but can be searched and found in alphabetical order in our Table of Pharmacological Terms.
