Dear Colleagues and Trainees,
On behalf of the Canadian Society of Pharmacology and Therapeutics and the Safety Pharmacology Society, it is our great pleasure to invite you to the 2026 Joint Scientific Meeting, taking place September 21-23 in Montreal, Quebec, at the Centre Mont-Royal. This is a landmark gathering: two leading societies united to advance pharmacology science, education, and drug safety on an international stage. The main theme for the 2026 SPS/CSPT Annual Meeting is “Novel Drug Safety Methodologies: From Bench to Bedside.”
The meeting will feature expert-led symposia, trainee presentations, poster sessions, and an exhibit hall showcasing service and technology providers. This international meeting brings together scientists across academia, industry, government, and clinical practice to connect, share advances, and shape the future of pharmacology and drug safety.
Montreal is the perfect host for this meeting. A city defined by its bilingual energy and vibrant cultural life. It offers an extraordinary setting for three days of science, connection, and discovery.
Our confirmed keynote speaker is Stuart MacLeod, Dean Emeritus of the University of British Columbia, who will open the scientific program with an address titled Radical Changes are Needed in Pharmacology Education.
