Dear CSPT members and supporters:
 
After careful consideration of the most recent recommendations set out by the Public Health Agency of Canada regarding large gatherings, the CSPT Board of Directors has made the decision to cancelCSPT 2020, which was to be held in Ottawa, Ontario from June 9 to 12, 2020. While the decision to cancel the conference is very disappointing, it was made to ensure the safety and health of our members and conference attendees and communities. 
 
Abstracts and virtual presentation competition: Realizing the considerable effort that has gone into preparing the abstracts for presentation at CSPT 2020, we are committed to hosting a virtual research presentation for CSPT trainee members soon, with awards for the top presenters.

We also realize that some trainees may not have submitted an abstract, expecting a conference cancellation. We have, therefore, extended the submission date until March 31, 2020. We will announce the details regarding virtual presentations as soon as they become available. It is our expectation to hold these presentations in June.

Registration refund: For those individuals that have paid for registration to attend the meeting, a complete refund will be provided within four weeks. The refund will be processed automatically, and a confirmation will be sent by email. There is no need to contact the CSPT. 
 
CSPT 2021: Our revised plan at this time is to reschedule the main conference for June 2021 in Ottawa. Please stay tuned for details as they are developed.
 
We thank you for your understanding as we work through this difficult situation. We look forward to providing an outstanding scientific and educational meeting in 2021 and hope you will continue to support the CSPT.
