WELCOME MESSAGE

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the conference organizing committee it is my pleasure to invite you to the beautiful city of Ottawa and the 2024 Scientific Meeting of the Canadian Society of Pharmacology (June 16 - 19, 2024). This meeting is the signature annual event for the Canadian pharmacology community, showcasing the latest advances in clinical and molecular pharmacology.

The theme of this year’s meeting is “Cutting through the nonsense”.  It has been chosen to underscore a strong focus on genetics, pharmacogenomics, and precision medicine as well as the ever increasing importance of rigor and reproducibility as our field advances.

The meeting will begin with a pre-meeting symposium "Core Concepts in Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology" offered by the Royal College. The main meeting will run 2.5 days and feature clinical and basic science tracks with state of the art presentations and free communications from top scoring abstract submissions.

Three exciting Plenary Speakers have been confirmed :

Dan Roden, MD

Vanderbilt University, USA
